A Cabin In The Woods

Once there was a little old cabin in the woods,
in the cabin there lived a little old woman,
and the woman loved to bake and cook.
She baked almost every day,
breads, cookies, cakes, pies,
anything she could think of.
She also had a little puppy,
and the puppies name was Tule.
Tule helped her bake, well, not really,
but she made sure the floor was clean at all times,
and that is a big part of cooking and baking.
The two lived very happily in the middle of the woods,
and when it snowed, they kept the house warm and cozy,
when if was warm out, they played fetch and
had mud fights in the pond.
After the woman's death, one of the dogs puppies, puppies,
puppies, got pasted on to me,
and she was named after her great great great grandmother.
and her great great great grandmothers human
mothers recipes also somehow fell into my hands, and here are some of them. . . . . .

  1. What a wonderful thing that the recipes are being preserved.

    Thank you for this blog.

  2. I loved the story about the cook in the woods and her helpful dog Tule. Whenever I'm in the woods, I always feel like cooking too.

  3. It occurs to me that this would be a very nice children's book/children's cookbook. Have you ever thought of that?
Do you know anyone who could illustrate it?
